For the website waitlist, we collect the details you voluntarily submit so we can contact you about the WeDeyForYou launch. For the mobile apps and platform, we collect the information needed to create accounts, verify phone numbers, connect clients and artisans, manage bookings, process payments and payouts, support users, prevent fraud, and improve service quality.

Who we are

WeDeyForYou ("we", "us", "our") is a Ghana-based platform connecting homes and businesses with trusted artisans. Our website is wedeyforyou.com and you can contact us at hi5@wedeyforyou.com.

What data we collect on the website

When you join our waitlist, we collect your name, email address, phone number where provided, and your interest type, such as client, artisan, partner, or investor. We collect this data only when you voluntarily submit the waitlist form.

Why we collect it

We process your waitlist data based on your consent. You give consent by checking the checkbox on the waitlist form. We use your data to notify you about our launch, send relevant updates, and communicate about WeDeyForYou services.

How we store waitlist data

Your waitlist data may be stored securely by Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC), our email marketing provider. Mailchimp is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Your data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, unless we are legally required to keep limited records.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, a portable copy of your data, or lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at hi5@wedeyforyou.com. We aim to respond within 30 days where applicable.

Cookies

Our website uses essential, strictly necessary cookies. Specifically, we may store a small cookie consent preference so we do not show you the cookie banner repeatedly. We do not use advertising cookies on the waitlist page. Google Fonts are loaded via a stylesheet link, which may result in your browser sending a request to Google's servers, subject to Google's privacy policy.

Third-party services used on the website

We may use Mailchimp for email collection and marketing, Google Fonts for typography, and WhatsApp (by Meta) for direct messaging via the link on our site.

2. Client App, Artisan App, and Platform Policy

This section applies to the WeDeyForYou client app, artisan app, backend systems, booking workflows, account flows, payment flows, support channels, and related platform services.

We aim to handle personal information in line with applicable privacy and data protection obligations, including Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), where applicable.

3. Information We Collect for the Apps and Platform

Account, authentication, and contact details

  • Name, phone number, email address, user ID, account type, profile settings, account status, and login details.
  • Password or authentication method information. We do not store plain-text passwords.
  • OTP, phone verification, login attempts, security events, and related authentication metadata.

Customer and booking information

  • Service requests, booking details, appointment dates, service categories, job descriptions, cancellation reasons, and job status.
  • Service addresses, approximate or precise location where needed to find nearby artisans, estimate availability, complete a booking, or support safety and fraud prevention.
  • Ratings, reviews, complaints, dispute details, support tickets, and job completion records.

Artisan profile, verification, and work information

  • Artisan profile details such as name, business name, phone number, profile photo, bio, service categories, skills, service areas, availability, portfolio, and work history.
  • Verification and onboarding information such as identity or business documents, certifications, professional details, review status, and trust/safety checks where required.
  • Job acceptance, job completion, performance metrics, ratings, reviews, payout status, and account standing.

Payments, purchases, and artisan payouts

  • Payment status, payment references, transaction history, invoices, refunds, booking fees, and related financial records.
  • Artisan payout details such as payout status, payout references, Mobile Money or bank/payment provider metadata where required to pay artisans.
  • We do not intend to store full payment card numbers ourselves where payment processing is handled by a payment provider.

Messages, media, files, and user content

  • In-app messages, support messages, emails, WhatsApp/SMS communication records, push notification preferences, and operational communication records.
  • Photos, videos, audio, documents, portfolio files, service evidence, verification documents, or other files uploaded by customers or artisans.
  • Reviews, ratings, profile content, service descriptions, and other user-generated content submitted through the platform.

Device, usage, and technical information

  • IP address, device identifiers, app interactions, browser type, operating system, app version, device model, and general technical logs.
  • Crash logs, diagnostics, performance data, security logs, failed login events, and fraud-prevention signals.

4. How We Use Information

  • App functionality: to operate the client app, artisan app, website, waitlist, bookings, profiles, search, service matching, chat, notifications, and support features.
  • Account management: to create, verify, authenticate, secure, update, and manage customer and artisan accounts.
  • Booking operations: to match customers with artisans, share booking details, manage job status, support cancellations, handle complaints, and complete services.
  • Payments and payouts: to process payments, refunds, invoices, transaction records, artisan payouts, and payment-related support.
  • Fraud prevention, security, and compliance: to detect abuse, prevent fraud, protect users, review artisan trust/safety, enforce terms, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Analytics and performance: to understand app usage, diagnose crashes, fix bugs, improve reliability, measure feature performance, and plan future improvements.
  • Developer communications: to send OTPs, booking updates, service alerts, support replies, waitlist updates, beta invitations, and important account or security notices.
  • Marketing: to send promotional or launch communications where permitted by law or where consent is required and has been provided.
  • Personalization: to show relevant artisans, service categories, nearby availability, saved preferences, and location-based service options where applicable.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We share information only where needed to provide, protect, improve, or legally support the service.

Sharing between customers and artisans

  • Customers may see artisan profile details, service category, ratings, reviews, portfolio, availability, and job-related communication.
  • Artisans may see customer booking details, service request information, service location, contact information needed for the job, and job-related communication.
  • We may share ratings, reviews, job status, cancellation details, and dispute information where needed to operate the service.

Service providers and partners

  • Hosting, cloud infrastructure, database, storage, security, monitoring, analytics, and crash reporting providers.
  • Email, SMS, WhatsApp, push notification, OTP, customer support, and waitlist providers.
  • Payment processors, payout providers, fraud-prevention tools, and professional advisers.

Legal, safety, and business reasons

  • We may share information where required by law, court order, regulator, law enforcement request, or to protect rights, safety, users, artisans, and platform integrity.
  • We may share information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or transfer of business assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. These may include encrypted connections, access controls, authentication protections, monitoring, logging, and secure hosting practices.

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain accounts, complete bookings, pay artisans, handle disputes, maintain business and tax records, prevent fraud, enforce terms, resolve support matters, and comply with applicable laws. When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or retain only limited information required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute-resolution, or compliance purposes.

7. Account and Data Deletion

Customers and artisans may request deletion of their WeDeyForYou account and associated personal data by emailing hi5@wedeyforyou.com with the subject line “Delete My WeDeyForYou Account”. Please include the phone number or email address linked to your account so we can verify the request.

When your deletion request is verified, we will delete or anonymize account information that is no longer needed. We may retain limited information where required or reasonably necessary for legal, tax, accounting, payment, payout, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, safety, or compliance purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at individuals under the age of 16 on the website waitlist, and the full marketplace app is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of our site or apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
